What Type of Vehicles do you work on?

We perform factory and warranty work on Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles, and our Quick Lane Tire and Auto services all makes and models.

 

What are the hours for the Service Department?

The service department at our Fairfax and Chantilly locations are open from Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 8:00pm. Our Quick Lane Tire and Auto (located in Fairfax) is open Monday through Friday 7:30 to 8:00pm, Saturday 8:00 to 5:00pm and Sunday 10:00am to 4:00pm.

 

 

 

How is Quick Lane different from the Main Service Department?

Quick Lane is our Satellite location that works on all makes and models. They are open Monday through Saturday to assist our customers and they take appointments by the hour so you can schedule a time to come in and wait for a scheduled maintenance that fits your schedule if you are not able to drop off your vehicle.

 

 

 

Do you offer a Shuttle?

We do offer a Shuttle Service within 5 miles of the dealership and to the Vienna Metro.

 

 

 

What is the "Loaner Program"?

Ted Britt Ford offers loaner cars at $10 a calendar day to customers who purchased their vehicles new and certified used while their vehicle is in for service at one of our facilities.

We ask that you replace the gas used when you return the vehicle and you are responsible for the vehicle while it is in your possession.

 

 

 

How much is State Inspection and Emissions?

State inspection is $16.00 and Emissions is $28.00. The State inspection is updated yearly based on the date on your windshield and the Emissions inspection is updated every 2 years based on the date on your license plates.

When should I service my vehicle?

The owners manual may recommend 5k mile or 7.5k mile services, however living and driving in Northern Virginia, we live in what is considered Severe Driving conditions, so we do recommend that you change your oil every 3k miles.

Hybrid vehicles should have their oil changed every 7.5k to 10k miles.

And you should be changing your oil at least every six months.

How can I get better gas mileage?

Proper maintenance on your vehicle will help with better gas mileage. The better your engine is maintained the better it runs. We also recommend that you change your fluids, transmission, brake, coolant, etc and change you filters regularly. Check with your service writer about what service he recommends based on your mileage.

Our manufacturers will issue bulletins to dealers concerning product updates and or modifications that can benefit you. Today vehicles are expensive and technically very sophisticated. We feel our staff is your best choice to maintain your vehicle

Proper and Timely Maintenance Preserves Your Warranty?

Your new vehicle is protected by a factory warranty. However, the manufacturer does have the right to deny warranty coverage if you fail to service your vehicle at the factory recommended mileage intervals. Ted Britt Ford will maintain your vehicle, and keep copies of service records, providing to the factory recommended service guidelines, additional service to your vehicle may be recommended by our service advisors.

What is Owner Advantage?
Owner Advantage is our way of rewarding you for bringing your vehicle in for service.
When you sign up the first time, we give you $10 towards your next service, and 5% of Service and Parts purchases are good towards your next service.
It is easy to sign up, just ask a Service Writer.
And you can check your balance at any time at their website.
